To hear a sample of each instrument, click on its picture. The last page also contains samples of woodwind, string, brass, and percussion ensembles.     **Unit on Form** -- (Allison Friedman) This is my 3 part unit on musical form for 5th grade. Part I: Round, Canon, Fugue, Part II: AB, ABA, Rondo, and Part III: Theme & Variation. All sound and movie samples are included. For the "Pachabel's Canon" example you will need Finale 2008 (or notepad) and it works best if played in scroll mode.     Koosh Rhythm Game 1 - (Beth Jahn) This game uses rhythms from Gameplan Grade 1. Get an air-filled Koosh Ball. Kids throw the koosh ball at the screen to hit the circles and then they play or clap the rhythm that pops up on the screen. This game (a variation) was shown to me at an official Smart Board training, so it is safe for your board.
    **Long & Short Sounds** - (Allison Friedman) This is a simple introductory activity for K or 1 on Long & Short sounds. You have the students sort the different sounds into 2 categories: Long Sounds and Short Sounds.
